laser treatment for psoriasis?
Hi am 15 years old and suffers from moderate psoriasis. I believe also have drops on my chest (red spots) It is embarrassing when I play basketball because I can not take my shirt when we played as skins. But anyway, when coaches are I tell them. I was wondering if anyone knows if Blue Cross and Blue Shield covers the excimer laser treatment for psoriasis. So now since its summer, my psoriasis is in remission. However, are nickel size white spots on my arm (about 2 or 3) and small dots around 5 in my right calf. I wondered what I could To disable these features (a little) I use dovonex and Keri Lotion now and also put sunscreen so you do not get sunburn. If could someone give me really help will be grateful. I am ready to send pictures of my psoriasis (if unpleasant) for any physician experienced dermatologists on this site. Thank you in advance. Please respond ASAP
Lasers can be used for the treatment of plaque psoriasis. The laser used is called excimer laser. A controlled beam of UVB light is directed towards the lesion. Area of skin remains unchanged. It requires several therapy sessions. The side effects are redness and blisters happen soon.
